Louis "Butchie" Peraino, an associate of the Colombo crime family, was one of the financial backers of "Deep Throat", under the company name of Bryanston Pictures. It was also Bryanston Pictures that made the first distribution deal with Vortex for Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Born June 16, 1940, son of Anthony Joseph Peraino, "Butchie" died April 26, 1999. Peraino was indicted in 1980 as part of the FBI MIPORN pornography investigation. The US District Court of Southern Florida indicted 43 people for transporting and conspiring to transport pornographic materials over state lines.
