This was taken while standing near the bottom of Old Country Road 172, the northern part not far from the entrance gate which was behind me. This is looking south up the hill. Behind and to my right was a dripping faucet and tub for cattle to drink from. Although you never see this road from this perspective in the movie, it is this part of the road that Sally Hardesty (Marylin Burns) escapes from Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen) in the back of a pickup truck. The truck headed north on this part of the road, which would be heading towar where I was standing taking this picture.
