TCM Tiffin Cast Reunion

I hope that everyone had the chance to go to Ohio for this reunion. I know I didn't!

Gunnar Hansen, Ed Neal and Marilyn Burns were slated to appear at this reunion. But unfortunately, Marilyn was not able to attend at the very last moment. And I know that disappointed a lot of fans, especially those who drove several hours to meet her and sign their rare TCM memorabilia.

My good friend, Rick Balin, was my "reporter in the trenches" and brought back these great pictures of the event. And below is his account of the tragedy that befell a group of 2 youths...

...we had a really good time. As we were checking in our room Ed Neal was standing there. We started talking to him & he did about a 15 minute "hitchhiker" routine! Pretty funny but he freaked out Dottie! HA!! Loved it!! We got to the show just as Gunnar, Ed & his fiance drove up. Gunnar came right over to us, shook hands & thrilled Dottie by giving her a kiss. He's SO cool! We stayed for about 2 hrs. Oh YEAH!! Laugh my ass off! As I was talking with Gunnar this kid says to Dottie, pointing at me, "Who's that"? She said "That's my husband Rick". He says "Rick BALIN"?? She says "YES"!! How do you know that? He says "I see him all over Tim Harden's website"!! Dottie calls me over & says "You have a fan"!! Pretty funny...the kid was Dane Sears!! Real nice kid, you have a bunch of his pics on Fan Fotos. I already got an email from him. That's the second person I met at one of these shows due to your website! Anyway, we left & went back to the hotel for Dottie to rest & me to DRINK heavily! About 12:15 am the phone rings & it was GUNNAR!! He invited us to join him & some other people from the show out to a bar when they wrap up. OF COURSE I jumped on that!! I said "When Gunnar calls me to go out do you think I'm gonna say NO??? I did ok though. We met as they were closing & went to a biker bar called "the Bear's Den". GOOD TIME!! Gunnar entertained everyone with cool stories & we had a good talk. Got back to the hotel about 3:00am & we got up early to leave. Met Gunnar in the hallway & talked again for awhile (Dottie got another kiss) & said our goodbyes. It was a looooong drive but worth the trip. VERY COOL!! I'll send you some pics, they're being developed now, including a few bar shots!!
